Information you choose to provide
When you create an account or use My Garage, we receive your email address and the vehicle details you choose to save, including year, make, model, powertrain, drivetrain, current mileage, and oil-change reminder settings. We use this information to provide your saved garage, personalize vehicle tools, calculate reminders, and send an oil-change email after you save a vehicle using the clearly labeled reminder action. Do not submit vehicle-registration documents, payment information, passwords, or other sensitive personal data.
Account and vehicle storage
Account and My Garage data are stored using Supabase and are restricted to the signed-in user. The diagnostic tool may also keep the selected primary vehicle in local browser storage so the vehicle can be carried into other tools. You can remove saved vehicles in My Garage or clear local browser data at any time.
Email reminders
Oil-change reminders are optional and are sent to the email address associated with your account through our transactional email provider. We record when you opt in; a reminder is based only on the current and target mileage you entered, is sent once for each target, and can be turned off at any time by editing the vehicle in My Garage.
Analytics, advertising, and cookies
Car Knowledge Hub uses Google Analytics to measure visits, page engagement, diagnostic-tool use, and clicks on retailer links. Google Analytics may use cookies and related device information to provide aggregated reporting. Advertising storage, advertising user data, and advertising personalization are disabled. You can limit or remove analytics data through your browser privacy settings, cookie controls, or blocking tools.

Retention and choices
Saved vehicle and reminder settings remain connected to the account until the vehicle is removed or the user asks for account data to be deleted. Reminder delivery records may be retained to prevent duplicate messages. Editorial emails may be retained while a question, correction, or partnership request is active and for a reasonable record-keeping period afterward.
Policy updates
We may revise this policy when the website adds analytics, advertising, accounts, forms, or other data-handling features. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are made.
